DANCE & PERFORMING ARTS
In the first term each year, we engage FOOTSTEPS Dance instructors to teach a comprehensive unit of dance to all student from prep to year 6. The unit traditionally concludes with a performance for families at the end of term parade.
VISUAL ARTS
Patrick Estate SS has a comprehensive visual arts programme that is taught in terms 3 and 4 every year. The students learn about art forms and techniques from other cultures and famous artist throughout time. Students are provided with an opportunity to learn how to create both 2D and 3D art.
With the use of computer technology students are now developing skills in photography and editing for presenting their work for gallery showings.
Every year Patrick Estate State School presents artwork at local shows and at our annual school Art Gallery held in late November for the school community.
The Lowood Show is one example of where our Art is displayed.
